Dear Sunshine Families, Family fun night was a huge hit! Thank you everyone that contributed to make it such a success! Our Annual Silent Auction is fast approaching, it is the last Saturday of this month March 29th! Early Bird Auction Tickets go on Sale on the 3rd – 14th. Tickets are $15.00 per person and $25.00 per couple, this is includes dinner, entertainment, and the chance to get some amazing deals on auction items! We will also have Reserved Tables at the front of the action for auction. Tables have a 4 couple capacity and will go for $150.00 a table. We will be providing childcare on site this year by current staff members for $12.00 per child or $20.00 for two kids. This includes activities and dinner, space is limited so please sign up asap with the office. This week we will focus on Dr. Suess. We will read some fun stories and create art to go along with it. Art: The kids will create one fish, two fish bowls, make Cat in the Hat hats and create Suessical sculptures Social/Emotional: We will read the story Green Eggs and Ham with the Dragonfly class on Monday and Tuesday before we enjoy a yummy greens eggs snack. Math/Science: We will mix up green eggs and ham! Literacy: We will read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in The Hat Extras: We are walking in the Hough St. Patrick’s Day Parade which is Monday March 17th @ 12:30. We will release from class this day at 11:30. If Monday is not a class day for your child you are still welcome to join us for the parade, the more, the merrier! We have participated in this community event for the last few years and it is always so much fun!! Our annual auction is quickly approaching. We will be starting our classroom auction items in class this week; this will be a piece of art done by the kids. We will also start collecting items for our auction basket; a sign up will be out for that this week. The school is also looking for donations of goods and services; if you have any way of securing donations that would be great. All donations are tax deductable since we are a nonprofit program.
