March 17-21

Dear Sunshine Families Monday is the Hough Parade. We will release from class at 11:30 so you have time to get down to Hough, at 19th and Daniel's. They start blocking streets off early so it can be tricky to find parking. I have usually been able to find parking on Franklin behind the school or on Broadway. We do a lot of walking so I suggest strollers or wagons if you think your kids will wear out. Plan to dress in green or in your purple sunshine class tie-dye. Auction is quickly approaching. Check out the bulletin board down the main stairs for an idea of items that will be up for grabs and then plan to buy tickets to attend this fun event! It's a great night. Art: The kids will make rainbow paintings, button collages and spin art. Math/Science: We will cut green bell pepper in half and make shamrock prints with them Literacy: We will read The Little leprechaun, Corduroy and Little Yellow and Little Blue. Extras: We have received just about all of the birthday party basket donations. If anyone is interested in putting the basket together let me know! It's going to look great! Just a friendly reminder; please leave all food and drinks out of the playroom. We have some kids in the school with serious food allergies and we need the playroom to be a safe place for them to play. Thanks!
