Dec 16-20

Dear Sunshine families,

This will be a very busy week! We have a lot to get done and will have

concerts on top of it! The concerts have been rescheduled for Tuesday

and Wednesday of this week. We will perform during class at 10:45.

Parents are invited to watch the performance at 10:45 and they stay

with us to decorate cookies. We will perform upstairs and Jason Lee

hall. If your child doesn't come either of these days let me know and

we will work it out!

Thursday and Friday are our last days before winter break. We will not

be in class these days; we'll join the rest of the school at Crosley

Lanes at 9:30 for a bowling party. We would like to collect payment

before Thursday; the cost is $2.00 for children. $3.00 for adults that

are bowling. We will bowl 1 game and then share a treat.

 

Social/Emotional- This week  perform our concerts and decorate cookies; this will take place instead of the candy trees we had planned. If you have signed up for items for the candy trees we will use those ingredients for the cookies.

Art- We will finish up gifts and package them up.

Literacy- This week we will read: T'Was the Night Before Christmas

Math/science: We will have the light table in our room for the next two weeks. The kids love looking at different objects on the table and building with colorful magnet pieces

With last week's wintery weather I thought I'd remind everyone of our inclement weather policy. If Vancouver School districts are closed or have a 2-hour late start we will not have class. If you are ever not sure you can call the preschool office and a recording stating that we are closed will be posted. I also try to email families as soon as I know if school is canceled.

       

In February we will take a field trip to see a play by the Northwest Children's Theatre. On February 12th we will not be in class and as a school attend this fun play! I will have a sign up out this week so we can get an idea of how many will attend.
