Dear Sunshine families,     

This is a short week; we will not have class Thursday for conferences and Friday the church has an event that uses all the rooms. Monday is also a no school day in observance of Veteran's Day. I am looking forward to sharing assessments and discussing goals for the year!

Social/Emotional- It's time for us to start practicing our songs for the Winter concert; we will be meeting with Dragonfly and Busy Bee classes to practice over the next few weeks.

Art- The kids will make owl creations and scarecrows.

Math/Science- During table time kids can work on a concepts book focusing on in/out, behind/in front and under/on top.

Literacy- This week we will read; Owl babies and Owl Moon

Extras:

 Our Family Fun night this month will be a holiday “make and take” craft night. It will be on Friday, November 22nd from 5:30-7:00. This free event will include ornament making, reindeer food, and cookie decorating plus a photo booth. The whole family is welcome to come get a jump on the holidays and spend some quality time together creating crafts.  

        Mark your Calendars for the evening of December 11th at 6:00pm as we present our winter concert to families. The Sunshine Class will be joining with the Busy Bee and Dragonfly classes on this night. We’ll be singing winter/holiday songs for your enjoyment and then afterward the scholastic book fair will be open for book buying. This is a fun night so be sure and plan to come.       

Every year we hold a bake sale the 2 days before Thanksgiving break. we love donations of baked goods and plan to stop by to pick up a yummy treat for your thanksgiving celebrations!
