Dear Sunshine families,

I'm sorry this is going out so late; we have been with out internet service all weekend!

Last week it was so nice to hear what each kid had to say about their families and homes. They had a lot offun recreating their houses and  talking about the people that live in them.

This week we will continue to talk about family and discuss what it means to be thankful and what we have to be thankful for.

Social/Emotional- Friday is our next family fun night; I hope you all can join us for a fun night of 'make and take' crafts!

Art- We will work all week of a large "thankful" wreath that we will constructed on one of the bulletin boards in the classroom. Each child will also have the opportunity to create a smaller thankful wreath to take home and share with family.

Math/Science-  We will create a graph based on how many people are in our families.

Literacy- This week we will read: This is the Turkey, The Plump and Perky Turkey and A Family Thanksgiving.

Extras:

The annual canned food drive has begin and we would love any donations of non-parishable items you can spare. The donations are used to create food boxes for families in our community. It will run through Dec. 13th.

This free event will include ornament making, reindeer food, and cookie decorating plus a photo booth. The whole family is welcome to come get a jump on the holidays and spend some quality time together creating crafts.
