June 8-12

Dear Sunshine Families, Last week: We had a great week in the classroom last week. We finished our ocean unit and put together a deep sea bulletin board outside the classroom. We also worked on the Sunshine Class art piece; we will be finishing that up on Monday and Tuesday. This week: Monday and Tuesday are our last days in the Sunshine Class together. We will have time to play, paint and use playdough. We will also work to wash our toys and start putting things away for the summer. It gives the kids closure to help in this process and to know that they are getting the room ready for the next group of Sunshine kids. All School Picnic: On June 10th we will meet at Felida Park for an all school picnic. We will bbq hotdogs provided by the school and will have a potluck sign up out for side dishes and drinks. Kids are welcome to bring Frisbees, bikes, and scooters (along with helmets) and we will spend our last morning together at the park! Sign up sheets will be out this week for the potluck items. This year we will have Knights and Princess’s the week of July 13-17 and Superhero’s the week of July 20-24. Come to one or come to both; it’s a great way to keep your kids busy this summer! Registration packets are available in Katie’s office! I will be here for all 3 weeks of camp and hope to see you! Word Wall: The letter this week is ‘Z’.
